I just ordered my first custom neck and the advertised shipping time is 5-6 weeks. The one I ordered has custom inlays but other than that its a pretty standard Strat neck. Is this 5-6 weeks what you have experienced? I left it unfinished just to speed up the process.

You can have it done quick.
You can have it done well.

Anyone that claims to have both is usually just trying to get you separated from your money.

I've ordered and built 3 so far. Some came early, some took a little longer. Depends on the backlog and complexity of the order.

I ordered a Soloist body, and was told 5 to 6 weeks. It arrived in 3 weeks.  :glasses10:

Now that I think about it, I've never had a body or neck that I ordered take as long as they advertise.

I have, but only a couple times with custom-build/finished parts. Those took the 8 weeks they said it would. Everything else has been out of the showcase and only needed minor mods before shipping, so they showed up earlier than quoted.

My custom order neck came two days shy of a month, IIRC.

But to be fair, it was a raw neck with an unlined fretless board, so there was no finishing, no fretting and no inlay work.

I live in Australia, so the distance from Warmoth aggravates the delivery time and they cannot safely predict how long it will take for an item to reach me as international shipping is fraught with possible delays.....but I have never had anything from Warmoth that was unduly late from what they estimated.  :icon_thumright:
