I like it a lot. The neck is great - it all works for me except the hardtail, but hey that's not a big deal. Great job! :icon_thumright:

I really don't at all mind the flamed neck - it contrasts well with both the body and with the fingerboard. Personally I would have gone with the peghead painted to match the body, but hey, that's just my taste and the quilt also works for me. And I have a weak spot for hardtail strats so no complaints from me there. As for the mix of modern and vintage, some builds play heavily on either the vintage or the modern theme, and in that case a 'faux pas' detracts from the overall effect, but a mix of old and new where the different elements integrate well visually also works well for me.

I like it, personally. Maybe the flame instead of a quilt veneer, but other than that, I wouldn't change a thing.  :icon_thumright:
I'm a fan of the vintage looking tuners, anyways. Old and new mixed fine there.

Better not be a minnesota handshake. :tard:
I dig the build, man! I'm a big Buckethead fan as well. Clean, classy and simple.

I love the neck and I've always been a huge fan of alpine white. The electronics aren't my thing (rail pickups and single vol knob), but I can see how they'd work out great for your application. Cool build.

And in case I wasn't clear, that neck is INCREDIBLE

Thanks. Buckethead is on tour right now. Are you gonna be able to see him? I'm going to see him in both Houston, TX & Austin, TX. I saw him here in Houston back in October '06. I knew how people felt when they saw Clapton, Hendrix, or Van Halen back in the day. The coolest part about it, he gave me a guitar pick!!!  :headbang1:

By the way, Arrested Development rocks!!! One of the smartest sitcoms ever!  :headbang1:

Dude that's an amazing build. All good. I love the neck especially. And I like your electronics. It's like something I'd do.

Sweet!!  :icon_thumright:

We have a secret handshake?  How come nobody taught me?  :(

Anyway... cool guitar... I don't like no inlay, though... makes it hard to jam, because other people can't see where you're playing easily.

I never thought of that either. I've never jammed with anyone that liked to watch where my hands were.

Try teaching guitar students when you're playing a seven-string, tuned a half-step low - forces 'em to listen.... :evil4:

(the ol' yang-yin, thar)

Cool guitar man! Love the white with the ebony, gold hardware would have made it awesome though, but that sure looks slick  :headbang1:

I'm gonna try to catch him on 11/1 in NYC but, my work schedule is all over the place right now so, who knows where it'll be by then. I'm definitely hoping I can make it, though! How about a pic of that uhh..pick. :laughing7:
I agree about AD, love that show to death. My absolute favorite ever.
