She needs a new neck...

I was thinking about getting her refretted but then I remembered for the cost I might as well buy a brand new neck.

Many thanks to the chap who posted his wenge/canary combo. I hope he doesn't mind my following suit.

Here's what I was thinking for the warmoth stratocaster you see in my profile picture:

Wenge core/Canary fingerboard Unique choice tba  :icon_tongue:
1 11/16" nut width (for R3 Floyd Rose Earvana Locking Nut)
Planet waves tuner hole routs
Wolfgang contour
Half scallop
24 frets
No dots on the fingerboard, black dots on the side
SS 6100's

My main questions are:
1) Angled strat headstock versus non-angled??? I think the current headstock is nonangled, but there are so many to choose from...

2)The current neck has 22 frets...can I squeeze in 24?

3) Can you match up the line of the darker tone of wood to align under the "A" string?

3) Wenge for tone, and canary for looks...wenge bound headstock with canary filling? Wnge doesnt really match the color of my strat body, so I was wondering if it would be possible to rout about 1/8" of an inch (or whatever!) Of a scaled down headstock profile to fit within the wenge headstock.

Thank you for letting me post this to get my ideas out and also to reference when I call and (gasp!) Order tomorrow  :o

24 frets will probably obstruct your neck pickup.
Angled headstock would eliminate the need for a retainer bar.
I'm not sure about either of your question #3s

A Warmoth representative already answered it...I think...

Basically...I was thinking how cool it would be for a scaled down headstock profile rout maybe about 1/8" from the edge, maybe even as shallow as 1/16" deep into the wenge headstock. Canary wood top to fill that cavity so as to have a smaller headstock profile of one wood, bound by the wood that comprises the actual headstock profile.
