Sg bass body with Sg pickguard

Would the Sg pickguard for the sg guitar from warmoth fit on a sg bass body? as i was thinking of a powerbucker and musicman i thought the pick ups would be the same as the rectangles pre cut in the pickguard offered, i was just curious as i thought that might be interesting concept, however as i play with my fingers its of no benefit to the finish, just an idea i had.

I don't think the bass guitar and guitar bodies are identical Jim (particularly around the neck pocket area). So a pickguard for one probably wouldn't fit the other.

Maybe, just maybe, you could square off the lower bout horn pickguard for the SG guitar pickguard and have it just on the lower bout kinda like this: (source: WD Music)

the answer i got from warmoth was no, but they did refer me to http://www.terrapinguitars.com/ a company that will custom cut pickguards if you send them a template of what you want, in the end i decided to fore go the pickguard.
