Hi there, I'm going to be building a Jazzmaster with 1 volume, 2 tone, an on-off-on switch and a 3 way blade selector. I can't find any wiring diagrams for this and it's my first build. I made my own diagram and I was hoping someone could give me their 2 cents.

The 3 way blade: up= neck, middle is both, down= bridge.
The three way toggle: up= rails, middle= humbucker, down= p90

I want a master volume and each pup will have its own ton knob. I know the mini toggle is right, as far as the pups being wired to it, because I got that from Seymour Duncan.

Both tone controls should be wired like the top one and the bottom pair of switch lugs need to go to ground. Looks ok to me otherwise.

Thanks for the reply, however I'm not 100% sure what you mean. The toggle or the pup selector. I got the tone wiring from SD's humbucker diagram. Thanks for any help!

Sorry, that wasn't clear - I meant the mini-toggle you're using to choose between humbucking and the 2 single coil modes - the bottom 2 lugs need to be connected to ground.

The 2 tone controls in your diagram are wired differently. They both need to be like the top one. As is, I'm guessing the bottom one would work like a volume but with most of the high frequencies removed by the cap.

@Grimstache, if you want to redo your drawing with Fat Pete's suggestion and post it whoever sees it will probably check it through for you. It's probably worth doing in any case as it's always helpful when wiring to have as a reference.

Thanks, Pete. I learned the bridge ground idea from my American Standard Tele that wasn't grounded by Fender! That was first foray into wiring.

Looks OK to me too, looks like I've been asking the questions and Pete gets to them before me
