seymour duncan blackouts

has anyone used these. any thoughts? im thinking ablout replacing my jb/jazz combo for them

I was thinking about using these, but since i wanted to play a range of different styles of music, i was told these are not the best.

Other options were:
Seymour JB
Dimarzio Air norton or D activators.

But blackouts are supposed to be the leaders for metal sounds.
