I picked up a swamp ash Precision bass body in satin black along with a tele bass neck made from roasted maple with turquoise dot inlays. I need some more pieces to finish the build. I have a Nordstrandt pickup, but it's for a 5-string bass. Do you think it will still work?
I'm also trying to figure out what color pick guard would look best with this body and neck.

I used to think string / polepiece alignment was a bunch of BS…until I built a 6 string using 4 string pickups. There is a noticeable imbalance between strings. A decent passive P isn’t too much $, and you can probably get most of it back if you sell the 5-string set. Good luck either way!
