Okay, basically I want this http://www.allparts.com/SB-5250-010-Schaller-Stud-Mount-Chrome-Tremolo_p_3286.html To fit on warmoth strat body. Has anyone installed this trem and have no problems with it?

I have two of them; one on a Strat and one on a Tele. They're very nice bridges. Schaller calls it a "Vintage Strat" replacement bridge, but I don't know how they came up with that description. It won't fit on a vintage Strat without a lot of serious modification.

If you want that chrome one, you may want to check with PitchPerfectMusic. They've got 'em in stock for $110, Saves you $40+ over the Allparts deal, which is enough for a couple cases of guitar-building juice.

Anyway, if you want to have Warmoth drill/route for it, ask for the surface-mount Floyd Rose pattern. This bridge and studs will fit just fine.

Awesome! thanks for the link, I've been really curious about these trems for a while. I figured instead of putting it on one of my current guitars, I'll just put it on my first warmoth build.

Thanks a bunch!

More than welcome, and welcome to the board! Keep us updated on your build - we love pictures.

Will do!

I have one more question. Choosing the " use from insert bridge on order."  Does that mean a floyd trem is being added to my order or is it just the studs?

No, it means if you DO order a bridge from them, they'll take the bushings included with it and install them in your body. You can also send them the bushings included from a bridge you bought elsewhere, and they'll press them in. I think either way it's a $10 adder for the labor.

Warmoth also sells the FR studs separately.
You might inquire if you could purchase them with the order and then pay the $10 to install them.
Wouldn't hurt to ask.

He's not buying a FR bridge; it's a Schaller "Vintage Strat Replacement". The bushings might be the same, but I wouldn't want to chance it. If the internal threads aren't the same, then he'd have to pull them to install the right ones, which he apparently isn't comfortable doing in the first place. Even if they did work, what to do with spare bushings? Type of thing that goes into the Drawer of Misfit Parts until a year later when you look at them and wonder "why in the hell did I buy a set of bushings all by themselves?"

Good point.
