Sammy Hagar and Rick Springfield playing Warmoths!

So check this out:

Rick Springfield has a certain "custom built" Jazzmaster-style guitar that Sammy Hagar apparently really likes the sound of. So Rick had a similar one "custom built" in red flake for him.

Rick's is a Warmoth Jazzmaster replacement body in Inferno Flake, and Sammy's is the same, with Red Flake. You can tell they are Warmoths because of Warmoth's unique Jazzmaster pickguard, which doesn't encompass the bridge holes.

Both guitars appear to be outfitted with Fender Jazzmaster necks. Check it out:

I am soo upset now. First they call them custom builds, when they are Warmoth builds. And they don’t even announce those Warmoth builds here! How rude! Do they think they are some rockstars, or what?

That red flake looks great ... in fact all the flakes are so cool .... warmoth does an awesome flake paint job. While it looks great on all guitars for some reason teles and jazzmasters take a shine to it.

That’s awesome. Rick kind of looks like the lost child of Steven Tyler and Joe Perry.

Love the mismatched headstocks. Rick's has a fiesta red headstock (eyes are trained to spot them from a mile away), so I suspect it was taken from that 60th Anniversary Limited Edition Jazzmaster that Fender put out a while back.
