s-s-h build, looking for ideas

I am looking to build a s-s-h strat (chambered swamp ash with indian rosewood neck) very soon and really can't decide on what combination to get.  I have a strat with vintage noiseless pups, a strat with tex-mex specials, and  warmoth VIP with gibson burstbucker pros.  Looking for something a little different but that will keep with the rock/blues - classic rock sound (not into playing metal although i enjoy listening to it).  Thought about Lace Sensors with a bugundy/purple/gold dually combo and looked at some dimarzio combos.

If you were putting this together from scratch to get the sound mentioned above, what combo would you use and why?

IT seems like you have most of your vintage single coil tones covered, so why not get something a little hotter. I would recommend a pair of Choppers and a 36th anniversery PAF or PAF pro. (all of these are dimarzio)

I haven't had any experience with Dimarzio single coils but I'm a big fan of their humbuckers and I think the new 36th anniversary PAFs sound great in the bridge. I hear the Red Velvet is perfect for the middle position, and any of the Area series would do well in the neck for a more classic sound. If you want something hotter, you could go the H-S-H route with a strat sized bucker in the neck.
I'll repeatedly advocate DiMarzio because of their [rather liberal] 30 day exchange policy and excellent customer service.

Well, you've got a range of tones coverd with your other guitars... I'd say stick some EMGs in it! Both my ESP and Jackson are EMG equipped and I love them... although I only have experince with the bridge and neck (no mids) I use an 81 for the bridge and an SA single in the neck.

My $.02 (such as it is...)

I have no objections to putting rails or other humbucking pups in the neck and middle position as well.  The dual choppers with the PAF Anni combo sounds interesting.

actually if you're putting choppers in the middle and neck you may want something slightly hotter than the PAF in the bridge, because the Chopper's hotter than the PAF's neck counterpart.
I imagine chambered swamp ash with a rosewood neck is gonna be pretty warm sounding, so I'm not sure what you'd want in the bridge. the PAF Pro sounds like it'd be a good fit if you're going with DiMarzios - brighter and hotter than the standard PAF bridge model

I'm selling a pair of RioGrande Bladerunners, which are great for TX Blues.Rock tones.  I'm selling these because I'm parting out a strat that I nolonger need- I also like humbuckers better for clean tones lately.  I'll let go of the pair for $80 Shipped- these go for about $100 each.

So here is what I am working with:

I am thinking:

Neck: Area '58 or '61 (creme)
Middle: Virtual Vintage '54 Pro (creme)
Bridge: PAF Pro or PAF Joe (with a 3 way toggle to split in the 2nd tone control hole) (creme/blk)

thoughts?

and thanks to Max for the photoshop and great suggestions  :icon_thumright:

that sounds tastey. Is it going to be rear-routed or w/ the standard strat look?

rear routed...I'm really not a fan of the pickguard look unless its a solid color paint job.  why hide the beautiful wood that 'W' puts out?
