Rosewood shaft vs ?

Curious ---  Has anyone had a rosewood shaft based neck on a guitar vs some other wood? No other changes in the guitar. Not looking for thoughts of what might be, but rather insight from those who have experience in this situation.

I have one. Warmoth sold it as Indian Rosewood over Indian Rosewood, but everybody who's seen it says the fretboard is Brazilian Rosewood. It's very dense, like Ebony, and highly figured, so... who knows? In any event, it's a beautiful piece. Sounds a bit darker than I'd like, not quite as articulate as some other necks, but still pleasant. I'm glad I have it, but I probably wouldn't buy another one.

I had one on one of my Warmoth strats. Rosewood over rosewood - it seemed to have a weird influence on the attack - almost like a bit of compression. The guitar used to have a all maple neck. Now it has a Goncalo Alvez with Pau Ferro board.

But that was just an odd neck I think (the rosewwod one).

I have a baritone rosewood neck with Macassar board and that sound really good. But I have no A/B comparison on that.

Thank you. The attack/articulation is what I have read elsewhere and echos what I have encountered the 2X I have been able to do something close to an A/B comparison.
I was hoping for a different response, but alas, it is what it is.
