rolling bound fretboards?

Is it possible to "roll" or round over the edges of an ivoroid bound fretboard?  I imagine it would have to be sanded down rather than compressed since it's plastic.  Anyone done this/seen it done?

I use a rubber sanding block with 320 sand paper to roll bound edges then I polish it with 2000 wet/dry wrapped around a 3M 320 sanding sponge.
