Roasted Swamp Ash + Trans Red

Yep, that'll do the job, I reckon.  Gorgeous part.  I like how the roasting makes the contrasting grain more pronounced.

That piece of wood has a particularly nice grain, too.

That is absolutely gorgeous! Gonna make a fine Jazzy. Good look'n mock-up Bro, now don't be a drag-ass like me, Git-'Er-Done!

Thanks. I have a few things to get yet but intend to work on it at a reasonable rate. Don't want it rushed or dragged out.

The body and neck just arrived. What awesome beauty. I'm almost at a loss for words. It's everything I hoped it would be and then some. The neck is such a nice match-up, did someone choose the woods to go together?

Here's the 'just out of the box' thread: http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=27296.0

Because no one can prove me wrong, I'm going to say that yes...yes, it was hand selected. We spent four full days combing through our stash of wood, looking for just the right piece of lumber. We then carved seven necks from that same piece of lumber, and selected the three with the most pleasing aesthetics. Then we tap-tested all three, and picked the one with a resonant frequency that exactly matched the body. And then we mailed it to you. And then we got it back and mailed it to you again.  :yourock:

Well, now, waitaminnit... that's what Spike told me about the last neck I bought!

No wonder Warmoth guitars sound so good, when there's tap-testing involved! :icon_thumright:

Also thanks to the ladies in the photo dept, here's a mock-up of what it should look like when done.

Geez-O-Pete, what a thing! Put a tear in my eye and filled me with the urge to build (another) trans-red JM! I like that a LOT  :o

Thanks. I'm really looking forward to getting started. BTW, after seeing this one, I think any transparent color would look good on RSA. Go for it, pard. They have another blank waiting to be cut to your specs.
