This is seriously unreal, does anyone know if roasted maple can be dyed? it does feel very different to non-roasted maple with the grains being tighter together and smoother feeling (less powdery feel) compared to normal maple.
Why in the world would you want to dye that neck? It doesn't need a stain or even a finish, but I'm sure a nice clear coat of satin nitro or a touch of TruOil would only add to the beauty!
Very nice.
My Mustang neck looks a bit like that - on the back at least. The fretboard's ebony.
As for the feel of it, I think it feels pretty much the same as my other roasted maple necks.
