This man and his products have had a huge influence in my life for over 40 years.
Jim, I salute you!

I have tubes of Jim Dunlop fretwire in the shop, Dunlop picks (used green Tortex sharps for decades), had a Crybaby made by Dunlop, his strings, capos, straplocks..... I could go on and on. I have several of his charts laminated for easy reference.

A doubt there's an electric guitar or bass player at any level that hasn't used, or at least been exposed to, a Jim Dunlop product.

RIP.

I was rummaging thought my oldest case the other day and found some Dunlop Match Piks. They must be over 30 years old. They brought back some memories.

RIP

May he rest in peace. He certainly nade some differences in my playng life and happiness.

I remember when I lived in the bay area that he called my workplace at the time inquiring about purchasing small medicine bottles for slide guitar.  He was very down to earth & personal, soft spoken, gentle.  Later on, I have a friend or two that work there and absolutely love working with/for him.

I like the story of the $1600 he needed to go from Canada to the US. The world needs more characters like this.

I liked that part too, smart solution to a stupid problem. I still have a Dunlop capo I bought for my acoustic guitar around 1970. It still works.

Sad to hear, I use his Billy Gibbons strings and Dunlop has supported the community with his products for many decades.
