As I mention in another post, I have '66 Vibro Champ. I want to get a reverb pedal for it but just not sure which one. Here's my shortlist if anyone wants to weigh in:

Thanks in advance!  :guitarplayer2:

I seek the Grail!

Y'know... the Vibro-Champ isn't exactly a quiet, high-fidelity amplifier. You might want to consider just grabbing a Behringer reverb pedal such as the RV600. They're only $50 here, and they do a ton of stuff.

They have a plastic case so you can't drive a truck over them, but they're still fairly robust and are otherwise pretty nice pedals. Stereo. Lotsa delay types. Full bypass. Good tone. And at $50, you won't have to cry yourself to sleep if it goes tits-up.

The Sole Mate if you want a Fender type reverb and you can afford it. It's a quality vintage type reverb that will stay with you and you can use it with future amps.
The Line6 is you want a versatile cheaper reverb pedal.

Can't beat a stand alone reverb.

And for you Vox lovers an Uncle Spot in a cutom made Vox cab.

I've been looking at reverb pedals myself, checking out the demos on youtube and such. I'm lusting after a strymon blue sky, but those cost serious BANK! I've heard good things about the Wet, but two knobs (no time control?) seems kinda limited.

There's also the Ghost Echo, which sounds good in all the demos, but I'm not sure how pick-sensitive reverb would actually work out.

I've been trawling ebay for a cheap hardwire rv-8, Marshall reflector, or a TC Hall of Fame. The auctions all start start off dirt cheap, then shoot up those last 5 minutes.

I love my Demeter Reverbulator pedal. Dual Accutroincs 3 spring short reverb tanks inside. :icon_thumright:

Good video going through different settings, clean and Tube Screamed.

Hm - I like the idea of that Demeter full-sized spring reverb, but putting it in a pedal on the floor seems like a good way to get that lovely reverb tank CRASH noise when you bump it.

I wouldn't put it loose on a drum riser, but attached to a solid pedal board works fine.

My is totally quite.

Digitech is using licensed parameters designed by Lexicon for their big, $4,000 - $20,000 rack rigs. I wouldn't guess that these things have patents attached, but if somebody has spent a few decades tweaking all the delay and foldback and varying amounts of absorption of the room, varying decay of different frequencies' characteristics, well, when you can license a block of that kind of work that's already been done, and done well... nobody makes fun of your Warmoth because you didn't cut down the tree.

The line 6 effects are also known for really good sounds, but they have nagging questions about the reliability of their switches and even the soldering if it gets knocked around a bit. Should you be a knee-sliding, roll-around-on-stage, hump the bass drum kind of performer - you really only need a Thrash Metal, an Extreme metal and a Death Metal pedal all hooked up in series anyway, any order'll do.

Thanks for all the feedback!  :hello2:

Tonar has the best option if price is no object. Cage definitely has a good point. The Vibro Champ isn't exactly a DSP engineer's dream. But that's what I like about it. I'll stay under $300 which leaves me a lot of good options that pair well with my amp. The Soul Mate has actual springs which seem like it would be really natural. Then again, you can't beat the price of the Behringer. The Holy Grail seems like it's getting the most votes. I definitely like simple pedals. All those knobs will just confuse me. Or as you can already tell, I won't be able to decide how to set them.  :toothy12:

Decisions, decisions.

Wow, I really like that switching box. Seems much better than the ol' tap-dance routine, and a lot more pragmatic than some weird MIDI switching device...

It's an all analog signal path, but with one stomp midi style switching capabilities.
Here are the details of that system.

Dude, you're so OCD, you had to get 2 of them... :laughing11:

DangerousR6 is pushing me closer and closer to the Holy Grail with the Monty Python pics! That's one of my all time favorite movies.  :kewlpics:
