Hello Everyone,
I am doing my first Warmoth project and this is my first post. I was hoping to be a little feed back from anyone on the issue below.
I’m doing a very straight forward strat project. I have most of everything I need but I’m having a little trouble with selecting a finish. I just recently bought a Reranch Vintage Cream and did a test shot. I like the yellow but I feel like it’s a little over board. It’s just too yellow. What I'm looking for is a few shades lighter than the Reranch Vintage Cream. I like the look of aged Olympic White. Hell, who doesn’t? These two examples are right around where I want to be with my color. I heard that maybe the Reranch Blonde would get me in the ball park of the pictures that I provided. What I want is a very pale yellow/cream white (pale banana pudding. I am a little worried that the blonde will look tan or beige. I would like to do the finishing myself but if all else fails I’ll ship the body back too Warmoth and have them finish it. I may just have to bite the bullet and get a can of the blonde and test it out. More $$.javascript:void(0); Here are my questions.
1) Does Warmoth’s vintage white resemble the photos or Malmsteen strat or etc…? I’m trying to get a degree of how much yellowing takes place on this finish and need some references since I don’t have color swatches. (I have checked the gallery but need more info)
2) Anybody have any experience shooting the Reranch Blonde as a solid color?
3) How does the Reranch Blonde compare to the Warmoth vintage white.
4) Will the Warmoth Vintage white be too white?
I can only work in spray cans.
Thanks!
