Replacing Fret Markers - First Post

Just put together - I won't say "built" - my first Warmoth guitar as a gift for my step son. Chambered flame maple/mahogany tele style, high grade flame maple/RW neck, all black chrome Gotoh hardware, SD pups TN-1 neck/Lil 59 bridge. Should be a great guitar for him - for his 40th B-day.

My question pertains to another Warmoth neck I bought for a strat I am "building" (body shaping mods/finish/the whole nine yards). As I have changed design direction (never happens right?) I want to replace the standard phenolic markers with abalone. I have tried remving two per YT how-to vids with no luck. Warmoth could only offer the type of glue used (cyanoacrylate).

Has anyone found a method of removal that works well? I at least need to get the two I started on out so I can fix the holes and re-install the phenolic ones.

And drilling them out implies access to a drill press with an appropriate clamp or vise arrangement so you have the control and precision you need.
