I believe a true relic, is just that.
One that's been used and totally abused for many years. But that's just me.

You may have a better sale on flebay etc.
As I don't think ya will get any takers here.

If ya part it, I'll take the Texas puppies. (if the price is right)

Yeah, this forum tends to like new guitars. That's not a very realistic relic, either. When a guitar wears in from actual use, there are certain patterns to the wear, but this just looks like random sanding to remove the finish. The bare spots are in the wrong places, and there is no finish-checking or dents and scratches. :dontknow:

Yeah, I have to agree with these guys. I think the only acceptable relics around here would be SRV number 1 copies, VH Frankenstein's etc... Relicing a guitar isn't really popular on this forum.

Don't feel offended. No need to apologize. Everybody has their own idea about what's proper for their guiter. But as you see most folks around here are more into unique finishing rather than relics.

My personal opinion is that the proper way to relic a guitar is to carry it in and out of a bar 3-5 nights a week for several years.
But everybody has their own idea.

This is a good place to exchange ideas and such but not necessarily the best place to sell used guitars or parts.

I like it, and honestly I've seen much worse (in terms of "realistic" relics) :icon_biggrin: Too bad I'm not in the market for a new guitar right now. I've got enough projects floating around as it is

My apology to each of you.  I'm relatively new here and I wasn't aware of the restrictions on what's acceptable for posting.  My intention was not to offend.  I was simply exercising a little creativity and experimenting with some "outside the box" finishing.

I knew you were fairly new here and I was just letting you know from what I've seen before.

You will find many different items listed before, that are or have sold here.
Some do and some don't.

There are NO restrictions on what musical gear you can sell here. (None that I know of)

Just don't sell the wife here  :icon_jokercolor:
