Red and yellow streaks on black korina

I've often seen red and yellow streaks on black Korina bodies. Were they naturally occurring that will appear when finished with oil, or did the builders filled them in with stain?

Yep. If you look inside those orange/red areas you will often find evidence a bug hole: a little black dot.

So that's what those are! I saw those on the UC top for my current mermaid build and they looked kinda like eyes to me, which perfectly fits my theme. I guess she'll have bug eyes [ba dum ]
