Hi all,
Seems many of the strat bodies with nicer wood tops in the Warmoth store are rear routed.  As i understand it this creates some issues with pickups - 1. without pickup rings the build can look unfinished. 2 - single coil rings may  have the mounting holes lined up over the pickup cavity rather than over solid wood. 3. the bridge slanted pickup ring interferes with the volume knob.

So where do you guys get nice wood pickup rings for single coils?  how do you address the mounting hole issue and does the volume knob thing dictate a humbucker in the bridge position?

any photos of your "no pickguard" strats would be greatly appreciated.
