Great way to update a squire.

This is way too vague. What do you mean by "fix a Squier?" What is the problem that needs to be addressed?

In that case, it's still a vague question. Squiers come in all shapes and sizes.

There isn't a definitive answer of whether it will fit or not. As mentioned Squiers come in different price and quality points and from different factories.

For example a Squier Tele body I have I tried to see if an American Fender neck would fit as an experiment at one time. It would go into the neck pocket but the fit was such that a good part  of the treble side of the neck was proud of the body.

Just because it fits the pocket doesn't mean that the mounting holes will line up, nor does in mean that it will intonate once mounted, hence the link posted above.

Agreed...

Like others have mentioned, it's not guaranteed. That said, I put a Warmoth neck on a Squier Affinity series Strat body with no problem. It wasn't a snug fit in the pocket but it lined up fine, screw holes and all, and intonated perfectly.

I don't think we are saying they will not fit. Just to be aware that there are a lot of variations in the Squier line over the years so there is no definitive guarantee that it will fit.

It's been my experience that a Warmoth neck can fix just about anything.  I just ordered one to have on hand, for when my car gets a flat or something.  Going to keep it right next to the duct tape.
