Question About LSR Nut...

Does anyone here remember the roller nut Fender put on their Strat Deluxe before they started using the LSR?
Wasn't it made by Wilkinson or Hipshot or something like that?  A friend of mine has one, and I am trying to get him interested in a Warmoth neck. He likes that roller nut, and I am wondering if it is the same size (or if the shelf is the same) as the LSR.

Anyone?...

I think your talking about the Wilkinson nut.  It is a lot wider than the LSR nut.  Fender sells a retrofit kit that allows you to put the LSR nut on necks that have the Wilkinson - the LSR's have been a lot more popular.  Here's a link to the retrofit kit:

That plastic piece covers the rest of the shelf that's left exposed because the LSR is so much smaller.

Thanks, that's what I needed to know.
