Hi There. I have been on here before asking questions with the user name of Vic, but I forgot my password and the "forgot password" never sent me the email, so here I am as Vic2.

Anyway - I've just finished spraying my bass body with clear coat (then sanding out the drips, and re-spray, then sanding out THOSE drips, etc.) and I'm just wondering what to do next. Do I wet sand it til it's perfectly smooth, or do I do something else to polish it?

It's solid daphne blue.

Thanks!

Generally, you wet sand with a progression of papers, like a 600-1200-2000 series, then buff it out with a fine rubbing compound, then polish it. Be careful of any edges or bends - it's very easy to cut right through the clear and color coats both before you even know it. Even the rubbing compound will do it, so go slow.
