Putting on the Clear Coats

This is my first build and here's my first attempt at putting on the clear coat. I've got about nine coats on it. In about two weeks I'll start level sanding it. It's kind of hard to see in this pic though. Also, got some blemishes on the bottom from the filler.  :sad1:

All that work sanding/filling/sealing/finishing/what-have-you and you set it bare-assed on that raunchy expanded-metal table? Before it's even cured? Whaddaya, nuts?

Wise up!

But I set it down super easy boss. I swear!

Rule number 94: Never assume a fresh finish can withstand any contact whatsoever.

Very true. The Tele body I completed and polished was set on a soft rubber mat and it imprinted the pattern into the lacquer!

Okay, point taken. I do keep it hanging in the garage though. That was just a 2 minute stop for a pic.  :toothy12:

Maybe I should have stained it a little darker.  :icon_scratch:
