Probably one of the worst guitar thefts I have ever heard about!

This happened in Green Bay, about 30 miles north of my hometown of Appleton. And I thought I was violated when someone swiped my Squier from the hallway when I was moving out of my apartment a few years ago...

and the article says that parts of the deceased body were destroyed during the theft.  What did he do?  Pull his hands off??

I gotta wonder what his defense attorney was thinking when he said "Mr. Conard took this guitar because he is a musician". Really? That's the best you can do? So... are we to believe that's how musicians generally behave, so he should be forgiven?  How many of you have found yourselves being introduced that way? "Hi. This is Kevin, the guitar player? Of course, it goes without saying he's also a grave robber." Sheesh.

It was valued at $2,000. I gotta assume that it might have been from the late 80s, maybe the 70s.
