Yesterday my sister was cleaning out her room when she pulled out the old classical acoustic that she was given from the school for a art project (which she never did). I asked her if i could have it and i got it now. It's crap, but good for some practice. It's made almost completely from plywood so, bad. Back top and fingerboard is plywood the rest is unknown.
What i've done is power sand (OH NO!) the back completely and most of the top (except around the bridge, i'll hand sand it later.). I found that in places i've sanded too much and you can see the next layer of plywood. It's very thin.
So the plan is, when i've finished sanding the sides and top and neck, i'll grain fill it, paint over the places (some Flames or something)where you can see where i've over sanded then put the finish cover on it. Then get strings tuners and whatever else it needs to make it playable. :hello2:
This'll keep me occupied until I at least have enough money to buy my warmoth body and/or neck :cool01:
