Post What Jazz You're Listening To

This may be the latest that Mike Stern has been up to. Dang Man, I like me some Mike Stern!

How about some Latin Jazz?

The production/sound quality - not to mention the playing - on this record, is off the charts, even filtered through YouTube compression:

I believe this is Cesar's debut album. He's an interesting guy, a music PhD and professor in a college, as well as fronting his own latin big band. He's also a Pinter Guitars endorser (first generation SB1-R)

A change of pace: a Brazilian composition interpreted by a French classical guitarist (Roland Dyens playing Baden Powell's Berimbau). Classical Jazz, if you will. If there could be such a thing as an abstract expressionist piece of music, this would be it.

I saw him in Huntsville Alabama, like the way he keeps his playing simple, doesn't over play, played some Glenn Campbell
I found him a few months ago when searching for alternate versions of “Ain’t No Sunshine”…I get tired of covering it the standard way.
I appreciate his melodic lead lines.
And dang, THAT TONE!!!
He’s moved to #1 on my smooth jazz playlist.
He covers “Every Breath You Take” also.
