There are a few cases in which I like gold hardware.  One is on Marko's tobacco burst VIP.  The other is if the body wood is very dark, like rosewood.  In that case, it looks good about 25% of the time, depending on various factors.

On this build, I would definitely go with chrome.

This is when gold works  :laughing7:

However on this guitar I'd vote chrome or black, definitely the best options available.

Gold works with some shades of blue or green dye, walnut, BK if its dark, and black. And some reds.  BK, Walnut, Koa, Mahog all have the muted reddish hue (and I mean Hue as in HSV not the social party definition) that is related but contrasts w gold in saturation and intensity.

But black works in more situations across the board. For me, a guitar really NEEDS to have gold before I'd consider it. As in won't work with anything else. I definitely am not into it for bling factor. Save that for the coffee table sprouting a neck.

Gold hardware is perfect for that finish. And contrary to what some say, good quality gold hardware does not tarnish or flake off.

I say Gold would look good, I think most don't like Gold because it gets " Dirty" looking easily, so if you are willing to keep the dust off, gold looks fine
