You obviously don't listen to music much if this is one the best things you have ever heard. Listen to some satriani or vai for some good soloing...

That ain't fair at all...  There's more to music, and soloing, than Satriani and Vai.

Sounds like someone is in need of some Led Zeppelin, Cream, Aerosmith, Beatles, early Clapton, Who, and similar artists :p

He's pretty good though.

Whoa, this board is getting harsh lately.  We should be united by our dislike of confederatewookie, not divided by it!  :eek:ccasion14:

I thought the guy was good. Thanks for finding it.

I also enjoyed the guy with the flying V. He is obviously enjoying himself. What the hell.

The Unknown Hinson is, well, the Unknown Hinson...

I don’t normally jump into threads like this but I can’t pass on this one.  That was very nice guitar playing but, IT WAS NOT THE BLUES. Sorry for shouting.

Max please study the following players closely and absorb not only their playing but also their singing.  If I could only sing I would be more than just another guitar player. Pay very close attention to how they attack the guitar with their right hand, which is where most of their tone comes from.  Also watch their vibrato very closely because that is the second most important aspect of their tone.  But that right hand; I can’t tell how critical that is to their sound.

Robert Johnson
Son House
T-Bone Walker
Muddy Waters
Gatemouth Brown
Qtis Rush
Johnny Guitar Watson
B.B. King
Freddie King
Albert King
Albert Collins
Buddy Guy

Forget the young guys like Clapton, Page, Vaughn, Bloomfield, Green, and Gallagher etc until you get the old guys.  Once you get the old guys you will see that the young guys just wanted to grow up to be the old guys.

After all of that go out and buy a vintage Fender amp, it must be a Blackface or Tweed pre 1967 and run that wonderful Tele of yours strait into the amp, forget the pedals and play the blues.

Thanks for the suggestions, Tonar.
I'd love a vintage amp if I had the money, but they're a bit out of my range.

Vintage amps are out there for the taking, especially in this economy.  Do your homework and have the cash ready, you can score.
Sorry about hijacking the thread.
This is what I paid for these vintage amps.
59 Tweed Bassman replica by Uncle Spot.
59 Tweed Deluxe replic by Uncle Spot.
1973 Fender Princeton $275.00 then extra to customize it.
1964 Champ $50.00.
1956 Tweed Tremolux $650.00
1963 Brownie Super $1250.00
Not in the picture.
1973 Super Reverb $750.00
1965 Suber Reverb I traded a 3-Tone Warmoth Strat that I had about $1200.00 into.
1968 Deluxe Reverb $325.00

I agree with this post except for mentioning Jimmy Page. He clearly was not as interested in being a purist like the others.

I listen to all the people mentioned above and I enjoy most of them. Ive been around for half a centry and have been playing for 28 years. I just thought I would post a video that I really enjoyed. Dont need to be told who I should be listening to.
