Most here don't know this, but I rarely every play my Soloist. It's not because I don't like it, but rather because I just don't want to beat it up.
Well, I took it to band practice this past week, and damm did it sound good. It has more of a loose, jangly tone compared to my other super-Strats, even though it's made of the same kind of woods, and has the same pickups. It seems to have its own character. I'm looking forward to building a couple more guitars.

I have these Warmoth epiphanies fairly regularly.  A guitar player that I met through some friends ended up doing damage to his LP through a guitar stand accident, and I happened to have a W-necked Tele in my trunk (with Roadhouse pickups, no less).  He couldn't stop singing its praises throughout the rehearsal, and ended up playing the entire gig that night on my guitar.  I got tons of free beer and food, and he ended up ordering his first body/neck from Warmoth.  Once I help him assemble it, I have no doubt that he'll join these forums and become an addict.  These things are a mix of gold, sex, and rack cocaine.

I took my W Strat to practice last week and it got its first war wound.  Dont even know how it happened.  I was sad at first, but then I felt some sort of relief, as if initiated into a club.  Sounds stupid, but it is what it is.

The Arabs have a saying: Fear of death is much worse than death itself.

'Strue. You worry yourself sick over what might happen, then when it does happen, it's almost a non-event so you're relieved.

As an aside, they have another one that I've always remembered: We do not hang a man for stealing a goat. We hang a man so that others may not steal goats.

They also cut the hands off thieves, and so have very little crime.

Not as dumb as they look, those Arabs <grin>

Is that rack cocaine 120 volt wall-powered? I get so tired of the batteries going out on my stompbox cocaine.... :sad1:
