Not really. I take more pics of some things than others, and there doesn't seem to be a whole lotta rhyme or reason for it. But, I did find these...

That finish is stunning! loving that guitar!

OP, very nice design you have going there.  If this is your first, all I can say is research the hell out of every component you want on your instrument.

Good luck, and looking forward to your completed guitar.

Thanks for your support and kind words, rauchman, I'm definitely having dinner with Bugs Bunny at the moment in the rabbit hole!

Check out my tele deluxe thread with a strat neck.

Looks amazing, love the smaller strat headstock on the tele deluxe, think my mind is made up about the neck shape.

Another point for anyone who sees this - I've used the configurator, and put white binding on body and neck, but is white going to be a little too clean looking?
Would it be better to go cream binding on all of it, considering the raw wood look and gold hardware?  Wondering if the cream will match the white pearloid inlays and white pearloid pickguard?

Thanks for all input!

Sometimes, a starker contrast is good (black/white/chrome), such as in Bagman's "Bete Noir" Tele...

Beautiful instrument. Then, there's the softer contrast (cream/red/gold), such as my fiesta red Tele...

Which incidentally has a bound roasted Maple neck, EVO frets, Bill Lawrence Microcoil pups and is for sale...

So, it's a matter of aesthetics.

As to color coordination, I've found the best person to ask is the wife!  If you have someone in your life, she or he usually have good ideas on what colors to use, plus, it gets them buy-in so they say they feel attached to the guitar.  I know, manipulative, but a survival technique.

I asked her and she said the white will pop more. plus she had a big problem with the cream inlay on the neck with the white pearloid inlays.
White it is!

For those of you interested, I've finalised the specs of my order. Just have to enquire with the UK imports office just to make sure they're not going to charge me 400% import tax on it and I'll be ordering.

You are going to so happy! That’s a good configuration. Plus your partner is on it. .. .  You won!

As a person who has stuff sent to the UK quite a bit I would figure on adding around 23% to the cost of what you order plus the shipping. Yes, the shipping is part of the figure. Seems daft to me but the shipping is charged also that is what it is. That is VAT and customs charges.

Cost of goods + Shipping = X
X converted to UK pounds * 23 % is going to give you a ballpark figure. There may also be a relatively small handling charge.

The process is straightforward and the carrier will contact you to pay the fees just prior to delivery. If it comes via the Post Office if the shipment is sent via USPS you will get a card posted to you with details of how to pay.

More information from the horse's mouth.
