Pickups

I have 2–5.6k single coils and a 3 way toggle that I have installed in a vintage Univox hi flyer. Everything works fine but I have an unacceptable drop in volume with both pickups together.

Perhaps the two pickups are out of phase with each other? The fix for that would be reversing the hot and ground wires on one of the pickups

Does is get more treble at the same time?

Slightly more nasal? Small drop if they are parallel out of phase, big difference if series and out of phase. Some people like the sound for funk.

Are they the same brand and model of pickup? The K-ohms are not the only determining factor in a pickup's output.

bro just dipping in to post this without any specifics or even typing a question got me like , how they even come to decision this was the right place?

Sounds like one of the pickups is wired backwards
