Regarding pickup configuration options for the Strat pickguards, what's the difference between "Humbucker", and "Fat Humbucker"?

I noticed that the corners appear to be rounded on the "Fat Humbucker" option, but how does that affect fitment? I would be installing a Trembucker-spaced pickup with no cover.

I never noticed that before. Close as I can tell, the length/width is the same, but the corners are different. Maybe the "fat" version is just meant to be a closer-fitting opening for uncovered pickups. Been more than once I've had to black out the cavities because you could see bare wood too easily.

I kind of guessed that it was called "fat" because of the "fat strat" stuff from fender, which has uncovered humbuckers and rounded-off pickguard routing. Could be wrong of course.

I just got a pick guard for an HSS strat and the person I talked to on the phone asked me if I was going to be using a mounting ring around the humbucker or not. The one I received has rounded corners in the routing for the humbucker because I am not using a mounting ring. That might be the reason.
