You can check out the JBE's HB Two/Tone p'ups. They're pricy, but offer you really great tone. When you split them, they produce very authentic tone of single coils (nothing like conventional split), plus no hum or noise in either mode. Also they should cover all of your expectations.

Go H-S-S. Put a Dimarzio Area-61 in the middle and a Dimarzio Injector Neck at the neck position. Along with the full-size bridge humbucker of your choice, all styles can be covered.
