I don't see the button in either Opera or Firefox. It doesn't matter, though since I either upload images directly to the forum using the 'Attachments and other options' below the text box or put the photo in Imgur and copy the 'BBCode' line for the image and paste that directly into the body of the text. Either way works just fine.

That's how I do it, very convenient and haven't had any problems at all with Imgur in general.  :icon_thumright:

What photobucket did just sucks so, so bad. They blew up every old thread on every forum on the whole internet. I deleted my account shortly after. I guess we should have all seen the writing on the wall and stopped using photobucket for forum image hosting years ago... Their website just got slower and slower and more bloated and harder to use. It reeks of "maximizing profitability" at the expense of staying in business. They seem to want to sell printed photo books instead of hosting images. The $0 to $300 price increase seems to be their way of saying "we don't want your account any more" without actually saying it. (rant over)


+100x for Imgur!! Much easier than google drive. They even provide ready to copy and paste code snippets for BBCode (forum code) of your image in a variety of sizes, with the choice of a plain image or an image linked to a bigger version:

Also the mobile app works really well, so if you're taking photos on your phone for a forum post, you can easily upload them directly to your imgur account.

The only photos I put online are the ones I use in forum posts. I just copy the photos onto my hard drive and upload them from there. My phone keeps dropping it's email settings so I don't use the POS for anything other than calls or occasional photos when I don't have a camera handy. Aps? The only one I have is a level. Which I used one time. :icon_biggrin:

I wanted a compass on my phone, but it wanted to monitor my location, have access to my phonebook, photos, filesystem, etc., etc., so I said to hell with it. I'll hit up Amazon one of these days when I think of it and buy a real compass. Why all these apps need all that access in indefensible. They're clearly just malware/spyware wrapped inside something you might want. Kinda like Chester the Molester in his van offering candy to children.

They appear to have changed, my old photobucket pictures are now been shown again, only now with a great big watermark.

I've not done anything, I haven't even logged on Photobucket since they slapped us around.

Can't see me going back to using them again, I don't mind the watermark, I just can't trust them anymore.

It's a shame that they have done that. The watermark is not only unsightly but way too large. I'll never use them, not that I ever would anyway. If Imgur starts doing that, I'll just go back to uploading photos at the end of each post the way I used to do. Explanations get lumped together but that's the way it goes.
