Pedal switch question

Hey, i realize this isn't a pedal forum, but i know there are lots of smart people on here and maybe one of you would like to share some knowledge...
I found a Roland AD-50 while doing some spring cleaning.  The fuzz portion of it works, but the wah wont seem to activate.  I'm no electrical genius, but I'm fairly certain that the problem is in the switch under the pedal.  it doesn't click and there's absolutely no spring in it.  If i push it down, it wont come back up

in the picture its the part on the very right.

oops, here's the pic

Thanks for any help!

i'm guessing it might be best just to buy a new switch and solder that in and hope it fixes things

There is nothing anyone can tell you, except to troubleshoot it until you have found the problem.

If you have an Ohm meter handy, you can check the switch. Put one probe on either common, and then check each throw with the other probe, as you actuate the pushbutton. The dc resistance should toggle between values approaching infinity, and zero Ohms.

The switch sounds as if it is dead.  But first, get some electronics cleaner (Radio Shack, or Electrical Parts Store) and give it a douse to remove any gunk.  Also, checking it with the continuity meter is another good idea, it is just a noisy ohm meter.  If it is not working, and will not be presuaded back into service, there are a lot of places to get another switch like that.

awesome, thanks for the advice guys.  I was really busy this past bit so it took me a long time to get around to it, but I changed out the switch and it works great now, thanks!!
