I'm planning to change humbuckers in my Candy Tangerine (which is named "black pearl" from now on.
I have had minor problems finding the harmonics sweet spot on the strat, since I have been a Les Paul player for 5 years. But I found it in the end, but it seems like the SH-5 don't quite want to cooperate.

Does anyone know any agressive humbuckers that can pull off those sweet screamin' harmonics?

I have the Seymour Duncan SH-5 in the bridge, and SH-2 in the neck, possition.

What's your budget?

I'd recommend the Painkiller, Warpig, Nailbomb, or Steve Stevens Rebel Yell all by Bareknuckle.
I've got a Rebel Yell in the bridge of my Epi Les Paul, and it screams big style.

by screaming harmonics do you mean like Zakk Wylde pinched harmonics or just open string harmonics?

Haha, no EMG's for this strat  :glasses9:

Not as screaming as Wylde, but screaming enough :icon_thumright:

I've been looking on those BN pickups, and they sound good!

You can grab a cheap(er) set of BKPs when you are over here on your visit.  Will be cheaper than buying them overseas

Dimebucker ot the Suhr Doug Aldrich. Be careful because the hotter the pickup the muddier it gets (generally). Think about how those weak 'ol low out put Tele's can squeal like a pig.

The Rebell Yell is a good one, I believe... It's hot but not VERY hot like ZW... And it screams a lot, right jim?

Don't forget the Bare Knuckle Cold Sweats.  Lower output version of the Nailbomb with a ceramic magnet, but works really well with the higher gain stuff.

They all pale in comparison to the Bill Lawrence L500XL, which is why Duncan copied it - Dimebag Darrell? Lawrence does stuff with the inductance and Henries that make for an extremely bright pickup, but with no excessive string pull. Only actives can do that as well. There's a fake Lawrence, and a real one, here:

The fake ones market under "Bill Lawrence U.S.A.", and are sold by subhuman scum worldwide. This is Seymour Duncan's overpriced Lawrence imitation:

The big problem with L500's is that they make every other guitar you play seem mushy, unfocused and underpowered.

What about the SD SH-8 pups? I've tried my friend's Synyster Gates custom guitar, and the guitar does everything you want it to. :headbang1:

They're not very screaming... In deed it's very focused on bass frequences... For this road the Warpig is better, same kind of bass, more definition, etc...

Rebell Yell or Nailbomb or Cold Sweat could be awesome for what he wants

I think

Do they have BN pickups in Denmark st?
Are you ready to go out to have a couple of beers? I'm in London between the 14th and 18th :)

Looking forward to meet a fellow warmoth addict!

There will be plenty of places on Denmark St which sell Bare Knuckles, don't worry about that. And I'm definitely happy to meet for a beer, just let me know where and when.  :headbang:

Awesome! Do you have an estimate on how much they cost? I'm trying not to bring so much money - cus if I do, I know I'll spend it all. Lol

The hotel is right by hyde park. Like the opposite of notting hill.
