Paint vs clear-only impact on turnaround

Hi guys, first post here - I've been lurking and learning in anticipation of my first build but just had a question that maybe someone has experience with. The published lead times state a difference based on whether or not a custom order is getting paint. Does a clear satin finish typically head out quicker? Or not really because the bulk of prep work still has to be done? I can definitely be patient but I was just curious. I'm beyond excited to put this thing together!

Oh believe me I don't want anything rushed, plus I'm working through a complete revamp of my very first guitar as practice for this build so that'll take up the rest of the wait. I plan on giving this custom version to my son as his first guitar. :guitaristgif:
