P4 tuning string tip

As a heads-up, if no one noticed this before - Hybrid Slinky strings make a great set of strings for P4 tuning.  Hybrid Slinkies are supposed to give you more weight in the lower-end, but in P4, they keep the high E from feeling too tight.

I had never heard of P4 tuning before this post and had no idea what it was.
A quick search on DuckDuckGo and now I know.

I probably wont try it though since I have to many years behind me trying to learn what I know so far  :laughing7:

But then again, you never know ... could be fun

I've been playing exclusively in P4 for a couple years now. I'm almost to where I was before. My improvisation is way ahead, but still a few things I can't do, but I can't go back now. I love it, except for the loss of 5 of and 6 string ringing chords.

I hear you on that.  I've had the notion to build a 5-string, so I can play P4 and still get some big ringing chords out of it.  They'd have to be cleverly voiced, but at least I wouldn't have to do any weird muting on that high e-string.
