P Rails. Excessive hum

I have a guitar with p rails.  It is set up per duncan wiring diagram with the three way to select either single coil, p90, or humbucker.

Everything functions perfectly, while playing.  However as soon as I take my hands off the guitar (not touching anything metal) I get a lound hum.  Like I lost my ground completely.  It goes away when I start to play again.

Any help here??

Do you get the hum even when it's in humbucker mode?

And can you confirm that when it's in humbucker mode, both coils are active? (Tap the rail and the pole screws with a screwdriver, it'll create an audible tap in the signal)

Hopefully, the shielded ground(s) didn't get twisted in with and soldered to the switch lug(s) with the black wire(s) from the four-conductor cable(s) or tacked onto the ground that is switch-intro'd to ground-out the red/white wires in the SC/P-90 selections; this will make the 'rails' chassis part of the pickup(s) circuit(s)... -not a nice sound.

Dude...I just follow the diagram.  Seriously thought, I will take a look at my work.  That is completely possible
