Heh yeah I suppose they do. The taylor does the most, the parkwood in particular is much larger in the lower half of the body. I mostly meant the concept of acoustic guitar companies doing full electric guitars though.
I'm pretty sure the VXT was first. The VXT is really something special. I haven't been able to play the taylor, nor the parkwood, so no opinion on them. Taylor headstock looks pedistrian.
Ovation has had at least two ultra thin wooden body "acoustic" guitars in recent years, maybe as long as 10 years now. The models change, but they gutiars are great.
