Hey guys,
Working on my second Warmoth build here. I have a nice alder /flamed maple body on the way and was planning on getting a maple/RW or pau ferro neck, but I also just bought a Warwick bass with an Ovangkol neck and the raw feel is amazing. Thus, I am not considering a raw neck. The issue is that I'm going for a fairly straightforward SRV type strat sound and I don't want to compromise that. The guitar will have Lollar Blackface pickups. Would a Pau Ferro on Pau Ferro be that tonally different? I have a PF fretboard on my tele, but have never felt a full PF neck.
