Opinions on Strat-neck

After some time at these forums, (since December last year) and some trouble getting decided with what kind of guitar I wanted to make :guitaristgif:
So, after many mental-debates with myself :tard:, I've finally decided that I want a strat :toothy10:
So, here is what I thought:

Body:
Standard strat-Right-handed
-Maple
-Top rout with universal routing
-Strat top jack rout
-Hardtail Schaller 475
-contured heel
-Dakota red finish

Neck
-Angled strat (any inputs? i've allways had angled necks on my guitars, and it sometimes freaks me out when it seems like the headstocks bend the wrong way :tard:)
-Warmoth pro construction
-1 11/16" nut width
-Right-handed
-Wolfgang back-contour (the wizard on my ibanez is too thin  :-\)
-10-16" compound radius
-Gotoh tuner-ream
-Graph tech black TUSQ xl-nut

All gold hardware

And now comes the issue :tard::
Which woods should I use on my neck? :help:
FYI: I'm going to get me the David Gilmour-pro-set/pickguard with pickups (EMG) http://www.emgpickups.com/products/category/11/1
I'm thinking either:
-Indian Rosewood/Indian rosewood (with gold 6105 frets)
-Maple/Indian rosewood (Gold 6105 frets)
-Maple/maple (6105 SS frets)
-Vint Maple/Vint Maple (6105 SS frets)

What do you guys think?
Also, I've noticed that everyone on this forum has a habit of going off-topic :laughing3:, could you please avoid that?  :icon_thumright:

From the options that you listed, I would say rose/rose. Raw wood feels so good.

If your intent is to try to replicate Gilmour's red Strat, then all maple for the neck, get a pretty figured one; here's a nice one at a good price that just needs some vintage tint...

Hmm :icon_scratch:
Thing is: this one's got a straight 9,5" radius :-\
But I love the figure :icon_thumright:
And, yes, i'm trying to get a strat that is Gilmourish, but I'm thinking that I maybe want a modern twist to it. Guess I'll call Warmoth when it's time to get the guitar. *not yet, I haven't enough money* :dontknow:
Since it's a S/S/S-strat, what should I go for sound-wise? All maple?(bright) or rosewood? (darker, either maple/rosewood or rosewood/rosewood)

If you want a Gilmourish sound, all rosewood would probably be too warm sounding. For a brighter sound but similar look, maybe consider pau ferro or padauk?

You know, that's really what's bothering me :tard:
I like Gilmour's sound, like this solo

But, I'm mainly a heavy/extreme metal-player :party07:
The reason I want this strat is that I want something to play lighter rock with, when i'm tired of blasting my amp :cool01:
Also, I don't want to use other woods than those listed, as I want the looks from them, and I'm not really a fan of padouk
Also, I mentioned SS frets on the maple necks, do you guys think that the gold frets would fit the colors? I just thought that I'm going for all-gold-hardware, so it would maybe be strange to have SS frets together with all the gold-hardware :dontknow:

SS frets don't look a whole lot different from nickel-steel frets, so I don't think they'd stand out or anything. But, the gold ones are nearly as hard and smooth and I think they would fit better with the gold hardware. I've not used them before, but I have a neck supposed to be here today with them on it where I'm going to be using gold hardware, so I'll see first hand.

Update: The neck's here, and you can see pictures of what gold frets look like with gold hardware here.

She's GORGEOUS! :o You're a very lucky man :laughing7:

Hmm... Whad'ya think? Vintage-tint koa + RW or Ebony + Gold 6105 frets? Would it fit the Dakota red finish and pearloid pickguard? :hello2:

Vintage tinted koa w/ ebony 'board & gold frets would look great against any shade of red. That would basically be my neck, except I had that curly koa headstock veneer added ($55) and I used 6100 instead of 6105 gold frets.
