Oly-White for jay4321

Jay4321 sent me this to finish for him. I shot color coat on today and its looking pretty good. There is something about a white Strat. I'll never forget the first time I saw one hanging on the wall of a music store in 1970 and it took my breath away. Must have been Jimi. Cool. White can be a beautiful finish. I would think it has it's own peculiarities to get right.

Ditto here. I've wanted to make my last alder Strat/Hybrid body from Warmoth white, but my wife whined that the "grain is too pretty to cover with paint".......

My last white one was a lightweight Alder Jazzmaster I finished in nitro...

...with a curly roasted Maple neck. It's not as white as the pics would seem - the clearcoat yellowed it very slightly - but I still like it.

White’s a great color for nitro, it looks great new and is probably my pick for best color to relic, if I did that sort of thing, at least for a Strat
