Older jazz bass 5

I bought a 5 string jazz bass body from ebay several years ago. It's a Warmoth body but the neck pocket is smaller than the Warmoth neck I bought for it. The neck has now been put onto a body which fits and has made a wonderful sounding bass but has anyone got any ideas as to where i can get a neck that'll fit and why the pocket on this body is smaller?

Either it's a Standard Jazz 5 (which has a slightly smaller pocket, designed to replace Mexi-Fenders), or it's from a time when Fender's neck pocket standard for 5ers (and thus what W would use for reference) was itself smaller.
