Okay Now I Have A Wiring Question...

Years ago I wired my Fender Strat for the Steve Vai JEM configuration, which turns off one coil of the bridge or neck humbucker in the #2 and #4 switching positions respectively, with the standard 5-way switch. I have since re-wired it back to the standard 5-way configuration (with different pickups).
My question is (and it's probably a dumb one): can a 3-way blade switch (Tele switch) be wired to turn off one coil of a bridge humbucker when in the middle position of a two pickup guitar? My guess is no, but I'd like some input from the wiring experts here if possible.

Actually, I believe if you added a 3 way super (in addition to your 5 way), you could set it as your HB coils are: 1 in parallel, 2 in series, 3 split to single. That’s how the PRS 513 worked.

Actually, all I wanted is to split the bridge humbucker. One of my guitars has a Dimarzio DP1111 3-way switch that does exactly that (as well as several other options), but I was wondering if a 3-way Tele switch could do it. I already knew a 5-way can.
