That's a new one on me. Seems like any kind of oil would soften bone. Maybe not a lot, but more than you'd want for a nut material. I wonder if they mean "unbleached" vs. "bleached"?

It's definitely oiled & none oiled versions of bone nut. This is offered by Xotic guitars for their XS models. I've never heard of oiled bone before so it's got me curious.
