That's Aussie dollar for you................it's getting stronger by the day and U.S. guitars are getting cheaper if you take exchange rate into consideration.  The story is reversed if you buy the same guitar from a shop in Australia.  They usually cost twice as much than in U.S.  Who says we live in a borderless world ?

Honestly, I don't want that many guitars. I've got 5 at the moment, sorry, this latest build will be 5, and a few more will finish me off. I need a Music Man Silhouette, a new EVH Wolfgang with a maple top, a Les Paul Custom in white and a Martin Eric Clapton acoustic and I think I'll be pretty much done......except for the spalted maple and burl maple from Warmoth......and an Explorer......Jesus, it's never ending.

Years back I noticed that the very best guitarists in the world picked out a single guitar, or a very few guitars to perform different functions, and concentrated deeply on getting the most music out of them. Did he have a trust fund, or did he spend a lot of time working instead of practicing? Even people who own a lot of guitars for their job usually only really play a few.
