You'd have to be on crack to want that tremolo...
I guess then that Jimmy Page is on crack, and me too, cause I think it looks pretty rad on a tele...

It's pretty rad regardless. Of the vintage tremolos, it's certainly one of the usable ones provided you set everything up proper and aren't expect a floyd. Tailed bridges always look good, to boot. What's not to like? It can be done right. For instance, a Jaguar setup. 24 inch scale, tailed bridge system. If you'll excuse me, I seem to have lost my spoon..

Eh...  :dontknow:  Minus the F-hole, it kinda looks like one of those knock off guitars they sell at Toys R US.

New Fender Pawn Shop Strat. Let's see these, Warmoth!

At least they use the locking version of that trem for these.  I love the look of my Jazzmaster, but I never use the trem, and mine doesn't lock.

The whole pawn shop series is indeed plagued with throwing crap at the wall to see what sticks. But underneath the gaudy neon parachute pants and animal print wide ties, the offset strat is a cool concept. As for the j-bass comparison - if the shape wasn't enough the knobs ought to scream it. (Another tacky feature IMO).

Looks to me like a jazzmaster with a replacement body. No complaints there, I don't like the jm pickguard, and semi hollow is always fun. As for the knobs, I like the radio knobs on the supersonic amps.

Actually got to play one the other day, and as much as I like the body I've gotta say I was impressed with the neck! The pickups were so-so, didn't sound as nice as the nearby Tele I switched off with, but not bad. It was very light as well. About as comfortable as you'd expect a Strat style to be

Think of it as a  more asthetically designed Z-body without the funky contrarian shapes that represent cutting off your nose just to not look like a strat.
